The Internet is not magic. It is millions of tiny "Packets" flying through cables and Wi-Fi signals. Normally, you can't see them. Wireshark catches these packets mid-air and freezes them for you to read.
If you are on an unencrypted network (HTTP), Wireshark sees Everything. – Images: It reconstructs pictures you viewed. – Emails: It reads the text of your emails. – Passwords: It captures credentials in plain text.
