"Read and Change All Your Data" When you install an extension, you click "Allow" without reading. Most extensions ask for permission to: "Read and change all your data on the websites you visit."Meaning: They can see your Bank Balance, Emails, and Passwords as you type them.

The "Sold" Extension

Cookie Stuffing & Keylogging Malicious extensions don't just block ads. – Cookie Stuffing: They hijack your shopping links (Amazon/eBay) to steal affiliate commissions. – Keylogging: Some capture every keystroke, including credit card numbers on checkout pages.

Go to your Extension Manager (chrome://extensions) right now. – Remove: Anything you don't recognize or haven't used in months. – Check: Does a "Calculator" extension really need access to "All Websites"? If yes, delete it.

Audit Your Browser

The most secure browser is the one with Zero Extensions. – Rule: Only install extensions from trusted developers (like Google, Microsoft, or Adobe). – Tip: Use a separate browser (like Brave) for banking that has no extensions installed.
